Dwarf Rescue

Dwarf Rescue is custom content found on the RSC Cabbage game type, and was designed to be an extension of the Dwarf Cannon quest which featured in the original RuneScape Classic. Help Gramat rescue his son, and earn the right to use his lava furnace...

Quest

Requirements

• Players must first complete the Dwarf Cannon quest
• Ability to kill a level 217-406 Balrog (twice)
• Needle and thread
• A dose of anti poison is recommended

Getting started

• Talk to Gramat, found outside of the Dwarf cannon enclosure (near the exterior Dwarven Mine entrance nearest to Ice Mountain) He will tell you about his son who has gone missing.

Rescuing the dwarf kid

Go down the ladder into Dwarven Mine. A bit south (against the first wall to your east side), there's a ladder down leading into a new area.

Once down there, you will see Dwarf Smithy who will tell you about the lava furnace being a new Dwarven technology. Keep walking along.

You'll see the young child a bit further down the dungeon, as well as some assorted NPC's: a few shadow spiders, some poison spiders, greater demons, black demons and a lvl 406 balrog (a big black demon).

What you will need is to:

• Recover the child's teddy bear (in two parts)
• Get the kid out of the cave

To do so, you have to grab the teddy bear (body) part hidden behind the poison spiders. A dose of antipoison potion is suggested.

The second part involves defeating a Balrog who will be about 180+ combat levels above yourself - it is speculated that the combat level of Balrog is adjusted based on the player's own combat level.

The teddy bear (head) part is obtained as a drop after the defeating the Balrog. You have to kill this Balrog not once, but twice, so come prepared. The demon has a VERY high attack stat, so without proper protection (armor / prayer) you will get hit consistently.

Finishing up

After killing the Balrog, make sure you have both parts of the teddy bear and talk to the child. He'll return you towards the dungeon entrance, but asks you to give his teddy bear to his dad as well.

To restore the teddy bear, use a NEEDLE on one of the parts, with some thread in your inventory.

Go talk to Gramat. To express his gratitude he grants you access to the lava furnace, and with a note from Dwarf Smithy on how to make a Dragon Scale chainbody mail.

Reward

The ability to create a Dragon scale mail which requires the player to have reached level 90 in both the Smithing and Crafting skills.
