RSC Preservation: Scythes will be dropped on Halloween day and November 2nd, every hour on the hour starting at midnight New York time. This is the fourth year in a row we are dropping Scythes, following the fourth drop of Bunny Ears this past April. We have a tracking variable in the database to determine in what year a player picked up their first Scythe, and we plan to expose this information publicly on the website at some point, so that users can compare the age of their scythes. We redrop scythes every year so that all users can have the opportunity to obtain the item, without a black-market of selling Scythe enabled accounts. We redrop on November 2nd, since that is what Andrew Gower did in 2003. RSC Uranium: Scythes will be dropped on Halloween day and November 2nd, every hour on the hour starting at midnight New York time. This is the first year that Scythes will be dropped on RSC Uranium, 20 years after the original drop. We will re-drop scythes every year, similar to RSC Preservation, for the same reasons. RSC Cabbage: Mod Ryan & Mod Aurora have created a new Halloween mini-quest! To start, make sure to update your client, then log in. You can just wait around and you'll see what the problem is, but to get started quicker, speak to Lily in the field north-east of the draynor village crossroads.We will also be re-running 2021's Halloween event, featuring Eak the Mouse and Death, made by Mod Ryan. Please give it a go if you haven't already! It's a great mini-quest, started by speaking to the Witch in Rimmington.
Additionally, we will be introducing Lily's Pumpkin Pie. It tastes a bit more pumpkiny than regular pumpkin pie, and is easier to make. This is the third year in a row we have introduced a new type of pumpkin pie.
We are also, as we do every year, dropping Trick-or-treat crackers and Scythes. Trick-or-treat crackers will be dropped every hour on the hour, and scythes will be dropped 30 minutes later. The trick-or-treat crackers have had their drop table re-worked, and no longer drop armour or weaponry, but do drop a new type of halloween mask.
Event starts at roughly midnight Halloween Day, New York City time. RSC Coleslaw: Similar to the RSC Uranium server, we will be releasing scythes this year. Additionally, we will enable the two halloween mini-quests, as on Cabbage server. Trick-or-treat crackers will be dropped every hour on the hour for one day, Halloween 2023, starting Midnight in New York.
Glad I didn't miss it like I did Easter - now the wait for bunny ears begins...
