Special Character entry on RSCTimes Mac issue

Hello!

I've downloaded the mac desktop client, and I'm unable to enter in any special characters into the Username, Password, or even E-mail address fields.

Also, is there a way to reset my password in the meantime so that I can play on the desktop client?

I see that the Account Management on https://rsc.vet/ directs me to https://rsc.vet/login instead of any account page.

When I click on "I've lost my password" on the web client login screen (I want to get rid of the special characters in my pw) it says that I don't have recovery questions set. Are these something I should be able to set in the Account Management section?

Hi,

Since it was on the 2001scape world, if you can try logging in without typing any special characters in your password, you might be able to get in. Back in RSC in 2001, special characters were not allowed, for our newer worlds they are allowed but automatically replaced. If you still can't get in, you'll likely need to post a password reset request.

For password reset requests, generally people post them on our discord: https://rsc.vet/discord in the #support-requests channel. You may be asked to provide an alternate account name with the same IP or have you tell us an email verification code we'd send to you to your email on record.

The website currently has basically no account management, and only supports RSC Preservation account logins - we're working on adding logins for accounts from all our worlds, and we're planning on adding more features related to this but it's still a work in progress.

In general, I'd recommend setting recovery questions, but 2001scape doesn't support recovery questions because it wasn't a feature back in 2001.
