Bank Certificate refers to the improved trading system for RSC, inspired from Rab's certificates, where any item can become a stack.

All tradeable items can be withdrawn as Certificate instead of the limited 27 distinct items for the old market certificates. The player has the option to withdraw items from the bank in the improved Certificate form, and depositing them will return them to their original state.

Additionally, one item makes up a bank certificate, instead of 5 which constitute the market certificate. This feature was implemented to the original ORSC server (later removed for the Preservation server) and Cabbage in order to promote easier trading of items between players, without recurring to Shantay's chest.

On Cabbage, it is also helpful for players who wish to put items for sale in the Auction House, as well as being able to sell easier large amounts of items to shops. Although most untradeable items cannot have a certificate, due to popular demand, some items such as unholy amulets can be certified!

This function does not remove the market certificate system found in the original RSC, and the certer NPC's are available. On custom expansion worlds such as Cabbage, these NPC's have a dialogue option which can 'cert all from bank' and 'uncert all to bank'.

If a player finds an untradeable item which they cannot certificate, but feel it should be allowed, please submit an issue on the Gitlab page found here.

Trivia

  • Bank Certificates used to be displayed as Bank Notes. However, it was found that if Rab's certificates would have been made back in the RSC era, the target would have been to have any tradeable item be Certificates
