Anyone who follows RSC client history at all likely knows that the earliest client that still publicly survives and is available to download is mudclient39, from 2001-05-10. Mudclient39 "reorganized the skills menu", removing a lot of early ideas about the direction that RuneScape may have taken. Good magic and Evil magic were removed, along with PrayGood and PrayEvil, and the Hiding stat was removed as well.

Based on old screenshots and fansites, these changes have been undone, and there now publicly exists a mudclient38 recreation which should be close to identical of what mudclient38 actually was.

That recreation can be downloaded here: https://github.com/RSCPlus/mudclient38-recreated

If you're a programmer, you can read the specific changes here.

Stay tuned to https://openrsc.com for the release of 2001scape, a server which is now in public alpha, and that this client can connect to.
